BERRISolver

A desktop solver for 4-card and 5-card PLO.

The first publicly available solver for 5-card PLO, and it solves 4-card too. Build any spot and solve it on your own Windows PC. No server, no queue.

Browse every node of a solved tree

You set the exactness, street by street.

Lossless solves exactly. Bucketed puts hands into buckets, and you set how many a street gets.

Abstraction is how a large tree is made to fit. Hands that land in the same bucket are solved together, so the fewer buckets a street has, the less memory the spot takes.

Bucketed is for the trees that will not otherwise fit, and the streets do not have to match. It is what puts a large PLO tree, 5-card included, on a desktop instead of a high-RAM server.

How much RAM you have sets what you can solve. The requirements list the floor, and what wide ranges, 5-card PLO and lossless solving want.

What it does

First 5-card PLO solver
BERRISolver is the first publicly available solver for 5-card PLO. Build and solve PLO5 spots yourself, the same way you would 4-card, instead of relying on pre-made solutions.
Lossless solving
Turn bucketing off and solve with no abstraction at all. Best on a machine with plenty of RAM, and on small spots, where the exact tree already fits.
ICM and multi-table ICM
Solve with ICM at both preflop and postflop, plus multi-table ICM across several tables at once. Multi-table ICM comes to PLO for the first time.
Future Game Simulation
Future Game Simulation looks beyond ICM to future hands, brought to PLO for the first time.
Automatic bet sizing
The solver can pick efficient bet sizes for each spot, so you do not have to hand-build every branch of the tree.
Up to 6 players
Solve up to six players preflop, and two players (heads-up) postflop.
Built-in trainer
Drill and study solved strategies without leaving the app.
Runs locally
Solves on your own Windows PC. No server, no queue, no cloud.

Or we run the solves for you

You do not have to install the app and run the trees on your own machine. Send us the spots and we solve them here.

Say what you want solved: 4-card or 5-card, preflop or postflop, the stacks, the ranges, the bet sizes, and the payouts if it is a tournament spot. If you are not sure how to put it, say what you want to study and we work it out with you.

Every request is a different amount of work, so there is no list price. Email us what you need and we reply with one.

Questions

What can BERRISolver solve?

It solves both 4-card and 5-card PLO. You build a spot yourself and solve it on your own computer, from any starting street. Preflop solving supports up to six players; postflop solving is heads-up.

It also brings tournament tools to PLO: ICM at preflop and postflop, multi-table ICM across several tables, and Future Game Simulation. Automatic bet sizing, node locking and a built-in trainer are included.

Does it run on a normal PC?

Yes. How much memory a solve needs depends on the bucket counts you choose, so a large part of the size is your choice. 5-card PLO builds the biggest trees and wants more than the minimum.

The system requirements list what to expect.

What are abstractions?

The builder setting that puts hands into buckets so a tree fits in less memory. A street with 512 buckets holds 512 of them rather than every hand on its own, and you choose the number for each street.

Lossless is the setting turned off. Every hand stays separate, the answer is exact, and it asks the most of your machine.

What are the system requirements?

Minimum: 64-bit Windows 10 or 11, any 64-bit processor, 8 GB of RAM, and 2 GB of free disk.

Recommended: a multi-core processor and 16 GB of RAM. Memory use grows with the range width, the bet tree, 5-card PLO, and how little you abstract, so wide or lossless solving benefits from 32 GB or more.

What does the trial include?

The full app, free for 7 days. You enter your email, we send a license key and a download link, and the 7 days start the first time you open the app.

When the trial ends you can buy a yearly license on the pricing page. Paste the new key into the app and your saved solves stay.

Can I use it on more than one computer?

Yes, on up to three at the same time. To move the license, open Settings on the computer you are leaving and choose Deactivate this computer.
